Elisa is the primary founder and Chief Executive Officer at Discovery NP Legal Consultants. Elisa has been an RN Since 2003 and worked primarily in that capacity in stepdown-ICU and inpatient cardiology. Elisa went on to obtain her Masters in Nursing in 2013 and has worked in that capacity as an outpatient provider of sleep medicine, weight loss and geriatric wellness.
Since becoming an NP, Elisa developed an interest in providing nurse consulting services for the legal profession and began providing those services sporadically in 2018.
Elisa developed the versatile cloud-based collaborative real-time work product that is used at Discovery NP Legal Consultants and is the primary mentor, educator and broker of services at Discovery NP Legal Consultants. In 2021, Elisa recruited and gathered a team of 12 clinicians including advanced practiced registered nurses to offer a broader range of services to her clientele and to expand services nationwide.
Elisa lives with her husband in Boise, ID, and cares for her mother-in-law and for her own two children, one of whom is medically fragile. The family enjoys Vacationing when they get the chance, and watching movies together.
Elisa also has a Masters in Psychology with an emphasis in Life Coaching and she and her husband are currently co-authoring a personal development self-help book. Elisa enjoys the freedom and flexibility that consulting for the legal profession has afforded.
Shelly has been a nurse practitioner since 2016 and a founding Nurse Practitioner Consultant to the Legal Profession with Discovery NP Legal Consultants since its establishment in 2021. Her clinical experiences have afforded her a wealth of knowledge in a variety of areas to bring to her role as a Nurse Practitioner Consultant to the Legal Profession (NP-CLP).
These include pulmonary critical care, neurosurgery, neuro ICU, and long-term care, among others. As an RN, Shelly is also highly experienced in ICU care with an emphasis on neurosurgery recovery. Shelly also has a background in public health and clinical informatics education.
Shelly is also actively pursuing a postgraduate certificate in mental health studies and anticipates being awarded her PMHNP in 2024.
In Shelly's spare time, she likes to spend time with her husband, their two children, and their two cats The family enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and rock collecting.
Alicia is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Integrative Health Practitioner and a founding Nurse Practitioner Consultant to the Legal Profession with Discovery NP Legal Consultants. With almost two decades of varied experience in the medical field, including significant work as an RN in the highly litigated areas of ICU and ER. Her experience as an NP has been in the Urgent Care setting and as an independent practitioner in Integrative Medicine.
In addition to her Master's in Nursing in the nurse practitioner track, Alicia also has a second Masters Degree in Nursing Informatics. In addition to taking cases of her own, Alicia specializes with Discovery's team in helping new NP Consultants, attorneys and their staff to navigate the living documents to get the best value from the Discovery NP Legal Consultants work product. She also serves as the designated research assistant to all of our contractors to provide them with the most relevant and up-to-date standards of care and evidence-based practice in the industry.
Alicia is a mother to seven children, including three medically fragile children adopted from foster care. She enjoys spending time with her family on their small farm in Southeast Tennessee, practicing yoga, and helping individuals live their healthiest lives.
Deborah has over 43 years experience as a nurse and Certified Nurse Practitioner. She is a founding Nurse Practitioner Consultant to the Legal Profession with Discovery NP Legal Consultants. Clinically, Deborah's background has been focused on critical care (ICU), primarily in the pediatric population.
Deborah has been active in multiple national professional organizations, attending national conferences and participating in committees and special interest groups. She has done seven international medical mission trips, and looks forward to participating in more.
Deborah has no intention of slowing down anytime soon! She enjoys the ongoing intellectual stimulation of new clinical experiences and welcomes the challenge of providing nursing consulting services to the legal profession.
Deborah is married, has two grown sons and one granddaughter. She loves to sew, garden, and participate in outdoor activities. She hikes, snowshoes, designs landscaping.
She is presently enjoying planning for her new home in the mountains and is learning to fish. She and her husband love to hunt. They also love to travel, and they have plans for more domestic and international travel.
In addition to her work as an RN In the neonatal care setting since 2002, Pam has 12 years of experience as a highly specialized Neonatal Nurse Practitioner working in fast-paced NICUs.
Pam has served in leadership and education roles in this position. She has also attended high risk deliveries to assist with neonatal recovery. She graduated with her Masters Degree in Nursing in 2007 and is certified as both a Pediatric PNP and a Neonatal NP.
Pam is married, has three young girls and a boy, With whom she adores spending time. The family lives in Greenville, SC.
Ciara is a founding Nurse Practitioner Consultant to the Legal Profession with Discovery NP Legal Consultants.
As a nurse since 2010 and nurse practitioner since 2015, Ciara has cared tor a wide variety of patients and their families. After working as a registered nurse in labor and delivery, surgical, trauma, cardiovascular intensive care, including pediatric trauma.
Since becoming a nurse practitioner, Ciara has primarily worked as a provider in women's health at a private practice OBGYN office, working in the prenatal care of expectant outpatients. As a new NP, Ciara was the co-author of an article published in the Journal of Trauma Nursing on preventing hospital-acquired pneumonia in ventilated patients. She has presented as a guest lecturer on common issues in obstetrics in primary care.
Ciara currently resides with her family in Indiana. In her spare time, she enjoys creating memories with her husband and twin girls. They enjoy traveling, the outdoors, and watching movies.
Sherri is a founding Nurse Practitioner Consultant to the Legal Profession with Discovery NP Legal Consultants. Sherri completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in 1992.
She attended Maryville University in St.
Louis and earned a Masters Degree in Nursing in 2014. She is a Board-Certified Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. Additionally, Sherri is a Board-Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant by the Competency and Credentialing Institute. She is a member of the North American Spine Society, the Association of Operating Room Nurses and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Sherri is on staff at St. Luke's Des Peres Hospital and St. Louis Spine and Orthopedic Surgery Center. At these locations, Sherri specializes in operative and non-operative treatment of the neck and back. She assists surgeons in he surgery, then manages their care in the inpatient post-op period. During this time, she orders treatments, therapies, and any medications necessary. Additionally, she sees patients in the office during post-operative visits.
Sherri is married and is the mother of two biological children, and two step-children ages 18-28. Her hobbies include gardening, reading, and travel. she is a member of Holiday Shores Baptist Church where she has taught children's Sunday School classes for ten years. She has volunteered for three medical mission trips to Honduras, Guatemala, and Dominican Republic
Nancy Skinker, CRNA began her anesthesia training at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and earned a degree of Master of Science-Nurse Anesthesia Specialization.
A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with 25 years of anesthesia practice experience, Nancy has provided anesthesia for surgical procedures including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, cardiothoracic, neurology, sports medicine, pain medicine, ophthalmology, urology, electroconvulsive therapy, joint replacements, plastics / aesthetics, obstetrics, and gastrointestinal outpatient procedures.
Prior to the start of her anesthesia career, she practiced at Barnes Hospital in St Louis, MO, as a Registered Nurse for 10 years. During that time, she spent 3 years in general medicine and 7 years in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit respectively.
Nancy has mentored students and well as registered nurses who are interested in pursuing a career in anesthesia.Currently, she practices outpatient anesthesia for sports medicine and orthopedic surgery in St Louis, MO.
In her free time, Nancy loves spending time with her three children. She also enjoys fitness classes, yoga, home improvement projects, and gardening.
Dr. Lisa Diekman is a nationally Board certified Nurse Practitioner with a focus on family and internal medicine with over 15 years of clinical experience.
After working as a paramedic, Lisa worked as an RN in trauma and the emergency department, and even as flight nurse. Lisa maintains certifications in many areas of these specialties. As an NP, Lisa has clinical experience as an internal medicine hospitalist, and in aesthetics and occupational health.
Lisa brings a well-rounded nursing and medical background to our consulting services for the legal profession. Lisa has completed a Doctorate Degree to further her research and studies in the field of hormonal balance and other holistic medicine modalities.
Lisa now lives in a small farm community in Northwestern Ohio. She and her husband, Kevin, have been married for 33 years and have 3 grown children, 2 son-in-laws, a soon-to-be daughter in-law, and 2 grandchildren.
She enjoys family dinners, spending time at the Lake, being with her grandchildren, and takes an interest in interior decorating.
Yvonne worked as a bedside registered nurse for 5 years in cardiac and step-down units before graduating as a nurse practitioner in 2013. Yvonne started practicing in cardiology, which had became her true passion, and then subsequently branched out to experience and become proficient as a diagnosing and prescribing provider in other subspecialties including internal medicine, emergency medicine, and ultimately, intensive care. Yvonne has cared for intensive care COVID patients through the thick of the pandemic in 2020 to present.
Yvonne and her family live in Florida. She has two beautiful children and a wonderful husband. They love spending time outdoors, riding bikes, and swimming. The family are all big "foodies" and love checking out new local eateries!

Consultants to the Consultants are independent, and do not contribute directly to the work product, but their valuable opinions and comments will be communicated to you through your Team Lead to help you direct your case. On a limited basis, these professionals are also accessible directly through our attorney membership plan so you can get their expertise on a verbal case rundown without an additional retainer
Dr. D. Guy Zickgraf is a part owner, co-founder, and a “consultant to the consultants” at Discovery NP Legal Consultants. He is available to our Team Lead NPs to verbally consult on cases that may benefit from a physician’s opinion.
Dr. Zickgraf graduated from A.T. Still University: Kirksville College of Medicine as a doctor of osteopathy in 2010. Dr. Zickgraf has practiced family medicine in Hawaii, serving as a Major in the US Army, as well as in Arizona, Idaho, and Oregon. Dr. Zickgraf is currently licensed in the state of Idaho and in the state of Oregon, where, in 2019 he transitioned to emergency medicine.
Rotating between three hospitals, Dr. Zickgraf has served as medical staff president at a major hospital system in that region since 2019. Dr. Zickgraf works as one of three medical examiners in his local area. As part of his responsibilities, Dr. Zickgraf reviews charts for physician’s assistants and assists with internal audits for the hospital system.
Dr. D.G. Zickgraf loves to be active and outdoors with his family. He particularly enjoys a good game of golf, hiking, running, snowboarding and gaming with his four kids and with his brothers.
Tracy is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with a specialty in Nurse Midwifery. She is available to our obstetrics Team Lead NPs to verbally consult on cases that may benefit from a high-risk OB nurse midwife's opinion.
Over the past twenty years, Tracy has worked in a variety of obstetrical settings including her position over the past ten years as a hospitalist and surgical assist for C-sections and women’s surgeries in Florida’s largest women’s hospital.
Tracy's midwifery experience includes low- and high-risk obstetrics as well as gynecology. Tracy recently started her own private practice, thus allowing her more time to focus on consulting to the legal profession as an advanced practice registered nurse.
Tracy lives with her husband in Orlando, surrounded by her four daughters and a granddaughter. In her free time, Tracy loves to travel and to spend time at the beach.
Ty is our resident pharmacist. Nurses in the hospital know that having a pharmacist a phone call away is a necessity when evaluating appropriateness of medication dosing or in evaluating medication interactions, etc. We are so lucky to have him on our team!
Ty has been a pharmacist since graduating from Idaho State University in 1996. He has worked for 26 years as a pharmacist in both the inpatient and outpatient setting, as well as in home health for over 10 years. For four of those years, he even served as the administrator for the entire home health agency. Ty has helped establish a pharmacy department in a community hospital from scratch. He has taught pharmacology courses to students of nursing and surgical technician students at Eastern Idaho Technical College. Ty has conducted nursing home consultations at four nursing homes for 10 years. He is presently part-owner of an outpatient community pharmacy in Southeast Idaho.
Ty lives in Southeast Idaho with his wife. Together they are the parents of four children and have three dogs. Ty enjoys the outdoors, traveling and fly fishing.
