TY SWENSEN

Ty is our resident pharmacist. Nurses in the hospital know that having a pharmacist a phone call away is a necessity when evaluating appropriateness of medication dosing or in evaluating medication interactions, etc. We are so lucky to have him on our team!

Ty has been a pharmacist since graduating from Idaho State University in 1996. He has worked for 26 years as a pharmacist in both the inpatient and outpatient setting, as well as in home health for over 10 years. For four of those years, he even served as the administrator for the entire home health agency. Ty has helped establish a pharmacy department in a community hospital from scratch. He has taught pharmacology courses to students of nursing and surgical technician students at Eastern Idaho Technical College. Ty has conducted nursing home consultations at four nursing homes for 10 years. He is presently part-owner of an outpatient community pharmacy in Southeast Idaho.

Ty lives in Southeast Idaho with his wife. Together they are the parents of four children and have three dogs. Ty enjoys the outdoors, traveling and fly fishing.
